Following on from our first monthly community spotlight post in April, each month we will be talking to someone from our awesome CasinoCoin community (join us!), finding out a bit about them, when and why they found CasinoCoin, and talking us through the helpful creative endeavours they have undertaken for CasinoCoin.
This month we are talking to @Backtothefuture from our lively Discord community.
Backtothefuture lives in the UK and works in sales. He found out about CasinoCoin after overhearing a conversation amongst some colleagues in his office. They were singing CasinoCoin’s praises, so he went off and did his own research into what we’d been up to. Outside of work and crypto, he said his partner and daughter keep him super busy, and grounded.
A few words from @Backtothefuture from our chat.
How did you get into Crypto, and what attracted you to CasinoCoin specifically?
I think it is very important that people do their own research before they spend money buying into any coins or projects. I hold Ripple (XRP) and a couple of other coins, but I originally got into crypto through XRP. When I (over)heard about CasinoCoin at work, I had been looking to invest in another project, and after spending time researching I was really excited about the project and had to buy-in. At the moment it’s CSC and XRP that I pay attention to, and right now, my biggest investment is in CSC – the more I read, and continue to learn about it, the more I knew I had to buy-in to the project.
What hobbies outside of work / crypto / family?
I’m a big football fan and enjoy doing a Saturday Accumulator, and playing the Sky Soccer Saturday Super Six game where you try and guess six predetermined football results…I am awful though! I enjoy playing a bit of poker too. Back in the day I started playing online via PKR, it was a bit gimmicky and reminded me of the SIMs, but it was my first experience of gambling online and I really enjoyed it. I play for fun, and play on PokerStars now too. This was another reason CasinoCoin resonated with me so much – it has real world utility and it will make my online playing experience safer, easier and quicker in the long term. I also related to the Foundation teams background – with a few of them coming from PokerStars.
How long have you been involved in the CasinoCoin Community?
I joined the community much later than a lot of people involved, but I am a bit of a puzzle solver and I noticed the ongoing struggle in getting the coin listing updated after the coin swap. This was something I thought I would get stuck in to, mainly to protect the community as a whole, and the coins integrity. I discovered Livecoinwatch and built a rapport with the team – mainly Danny, who is a real workhorse, and really helped with getting CSC added and updated on their site when required. This allowed the community and other members of the crypto world to see real data whilst CoinMarketCap worked on their updates. I also do a lot on Twitter, to help share the word about the CasinoCoin project as I think social media, especially Twitter, plays a big part in building awareness in the crypto space.
What do you hope for the future of CasinoCoin, and what would you say to anyone interested in finding out more?
I would highly recommend joining the very spirited CasinoCoin community Discord server. It can get crazy in there (good crazy!), but check out the giveaways channel and you may get lucky and be rewarded with some CSC from other members. I have played a part in organising things such as emoticon guess the movie name giveaways and such, I like the idea of everyone joining in. The strong sense of community spirit, and everyone’s passion and involvement makes a huge impact.
My vision for CasinoCoin is that the community continue to passionately contribute to the work of the CasinoCoin Foundation. I hope they (CSC Foundation) continue to not make false promises or overly hype what is going on. The team has always worked towards building the best product, that does and will continue to speak for itself. This has allowed for organic growth, and steady steps towards reaching everyone’s common goal – successful adoption and utility for CasinoCoin in the regulated gaming industry. I am (very) confident this will happen.
