For this month’s community spotlight, we spoke to @honeybyte about the newly relaunched CSC Chat, and we also spoke to a few of the Dutch CSC community after their meet-up in Amsterdam last month. You can read back through previous months’ installments on our blog, and join our lively and growing CasinoCoin Discord Community.
What: CSC Chat Online Forum
Why: A community driven forum to discuss and help spread the word about CasinoCoin
Who: Infrastructure: @CarloRossi / Administration: @honeybyte
@CarloRossi got into CasinoCoin primarily because it was a fork of XRP, and on a previous Discord chat he said, “I’m heavily behind XRP”. He very kindly offered his teams services to help update and increase the CSC Chat forum’s usability, as he has witnessed first-hand the success of XRP Chat. Moving forward @CarloRossi will assist as a technical assistant for CSC Chat and @honeybyte will be the main admin contact.
Unfortunately, @CarloRossi was not available to chat to us this week, however, in a previous Discord chat he said: “I believe in the use case and I believe in the direction I see the team is heading in building from the ground up – getting the BRM up and running and getting industry relationships FIRST. Not worrying about crypto speculation or getting on exchanges yet…. those things can come later.”
What @Honeybyte had to say
I think CSC Chat is a place to for the community, old and new, to come together and chat, a place to hang out and get to know other ‘hodlers’. It will be ideal for permanently holding CSC information, keeping a reference of information to help bring new interest and buzz into the project, and avoiding it being lost in the many chats on Discord.
@CarloRossi provided the resources to make it happen before handing it back off to the CSC community to take the reins and make it their second home after Discord. Along the way, he used his experience as an XRPchat member to suggest improvement that would make it a better home for us. I’m looking forward to growing the forum, and in turn helping grow CasinoCoin.
What: CasinoCoin Amsterdam meet-up
Who attended: @Rogier, @Wenusch, @CryptonizeMe, @Cryptonite, @EasylivingmemberArjan, @Sharky
Date: Thursday, 19 July
Where: Amsterdam RAI & iGB Live Fair (www.igblive.com) @Ash, CasinoCoin Chief Commercial Officer also attended the fair, but had to fly home before the drinks
What happened: iGB live walk around; looking at different operators, payment processors, affiliates. At the bar; discussed CSC with @Sharky (CSC Lead Developer Andre), lots of questions that Andre could answer. Topics included; security of CRNs, possible sandbox date, exchanges, the ins and outs of the BRM.
Meet everyone who attended:
@Rogier, based in Rotterdam, about a one-hour drive to Amsterdam
“iGB wasn’t that interesting for me, I always visit ICE in London, every February, and iGB was relatively small in comparison to ICE, so I didn’t feel like I saw anything new. What was great about the meet-up, was meeting Andre in person, and feeling lots of positive vibes about the CSC project, the commitment of all of the Foundation members and what the future holds for the project in general.”
@Cryptonite, from Nijmegen, about a 1.5-hour drive to Amsterdam
“I was there with a colleague from work who is also a CSC fanatic. The click with the rest of the group was almost instant and the jokes kept coming fast! iGB came over as a big showcase. A blockchain carnival with many projects spending money to attract investors. Lots of beautiful blockchain cheerleaders welcomed us with big smiles! My aim for the day was to meet some fellow CasinoCoin investors, and get to know each whilst learning more about the project. A big surprise for me was the appearance of Andre, the CSC Lead Developer. After a lot of questions, and lots of answers from Andre, everything became clearer. CSC is the project that’s going to make a difference. I love the team’s hard-core no nonsense strategy to get the product up and running first, before the marketing carnival begins. The meet-up was awesome, and the second one is already planned for Christmas 2018 – very much looking to that!”
@Wenusch, from a small village in the Netherlands, about a two-hour train to Amsterdam
“At the iGB fair, I was looking for some blockchain related pitches, but got a lot of marketing stuff instead. The conference room was placed in between the gaming booths so I couldn’t really follow what they were saying. I don’t have any iGaming related knowledge, so it was mostly watching who has the biggest and best looking booths. The biggest take-out for me was gaining more confidence in the CasinoCoin project, as Andre kept talking about everyone from the Foundation and how and why it has evolved to what CasinoCoin is today. Another big bonus, was having met the guys from the community and enjoying a great day, with some good food and a few beers.”
@CryptonizeMe, from Almere, about a 40-minute drive to Amsterdam
“As a teacher at a university of applied sciences I was inspired by some of my students to consider crypto, and CasinoCoin, back in November last year. I have never been to an online gaming event before nor had any clue about what it would be like. I felt compelled to go as I strongly believe in the CasinoCoin project, and have invested enough to take a deep dive into the event and meet some of the other members of the community. To be honest I did not attend any of the iGB workshops, as I was too involved in the discussions with Andre and the other community members, but I got a good taste of the atmosphere of the event. I guess we needed more time! It feels great to be part of the community and to hear everyone talk about the core beliefs and focus of the team. I will follow the developments closely and attend the next meet-up around Christmas.”
@Easy living member Arjan, from Eindhoven, about a one-hour drive to Amsterdam
“I heard about iGB LIVE and the CasinoCoin project from my colleague @Cryptonite. On the day, I picked @Cryptonite up and drove into Amsterdam, where we found the small CSC group. After having walked around the fair, taking in all the stands and eye candy, we started talking about blockchain and CSC. We had Andre, CSC Lead Developer, with us so we got to quiz him about the project. After another walk-around at iGB, we headed for food and talked more about the project. To me, it is clear that CSC has a bright future and I’m excited to be involved.”
@Sharky, aka Andre, CasinoCoin Lead Developer
“I had not originally planned to go to iGB Live, but when a group of the Dutch based CSC community were planning to meet-up at the event, I thought it would be nice to head along. I wanted to get to know some of them personally and help with answering any questions I could about the project and what the Foundation is up to. For me, and I think for most people who came, it was a nice meet-up. The community really appreciated meeting and talking to a ‘real’ Foundation member in person. Giving the guys some insight on what we have done and are still doing, as well as talking about the commitment the Foundation members really helped to ease any concerns and keep up their excitement about the project. It was great to meet everyone in person.”
